Best Places to Eat Colombo Sri Lanka

When travelling one of the best things to do is to try the amazing foods and flavours of the local cuisine but sometimes it can be nervous to try somewhere that you know nothing about. We have taken some of the best spots that we enjoyed eating at in Colombo. The staple dishes for most Sri Lankans are a curry dish either made with meats like chicken or fish or mutton or with vegetables or lentils. Rice is a staple with almost every meal. If you are spice sensitive then beware than a lot of the flavours used in Sri Lankan food have a kick to them. If you are struggling then aim for the fruity curries for example mango curry is very popular and very delicious and you can add a side of an egg hopper which is a personal favourite.
